Write a function that finds and returns the largest integer in a list. If the list is empty or null, return null.

Examples:

Input: numbers = [5, 10, 3, 8, 15] Output: 15 Explanation: 15 is the largest number in the list Input: numbers = [-5, -10, -3, -8, -1] Output: -1 Explanation: -1 is the largest number in the list of negative integers
