Given a list of integers and a positive chunk size, split the list into sequential groups of the specified size. Return a list of lists that preserves the original order of items. The final group may contain fewer items when the list length is not a multiple of the chunk size. Return null when the source list is null and return an empty list when the chunk size is invalid.
